National Congress of French Teachers in The Netherlands23/03/2017

The Wallonia-Brussels Delegation will participate in the upcoming edition of the “National Congress of French Teachers in The Netherlands”, which will be organised on the 24th and 25th of March in Noordwijkerhout.

More than 500 French teachers from The Netherlands participate in this biannual congress. Hence, it is THE gathering for French education in this country. More than 80 workshops will be held during two days.

Wallonia-Brussels has invited the Belgian journalist and author Jacques Mercier. He will pronounce the opening speech during the plenary session. He will also present his book “Les 500 plus belles expressions de Monsieur Dictionnaire”.

The Wallonia-Brussels Delegation, in close cooperation with the WB Tourism Agency in Amsterdam, will be represented with a stand. The main objective is to promote the international relations, the education system and the tourist attractions of Wallonia and Brussels.

Several workshops will be hosted by experts from the French-speaking part of Belgium. Mrs Michèle Lenoble Pinson, emeritus professor of the Université Saint-Louis de Bruxelles, will inform the participants about the new French orthography. Mrs Jacqueline Deprins, seconded teacher of the Ministry of the Federation Wallonia-Brussels to the Porta Mosana College in Maastricht, will present the pilot project of French-Dutch bilingual education.
