Introduction of the “King Willem-Alexander Chair” (Univ. Liège)17/10/2017

On the 5th and 6th of October, the “King Willem-Alexander Chair on Dutch studies” was introduced at the University of Liège. Thanks to the support of the Embassy of The Netherlands in Brussels, several Dutch professors will be invited over a period of 10 years to give lectures and scientific seminars. The goal is to promote studies on the Dutch language, literature and culture among the students in Liège and to foster cross -border exchanges with the northern neighbours. The first visiting professor will be Joep Leerssen (University of Amsterdam).

The exposition “The (dis)United Kingdom of the Netherlands (1815-1830)” consisting of pictures taken by Michiel Hendryckx, can be visited until the 4th of November in the Cité Miroir in Liège.
